One of the coolest original games (if not the coolest) to come out for the Atari 2600 (aka Atari VCS) was Yars' Revenge. Programmed by Howard Scott Warshaw, it started out as a port of the arcade game Star Castle and evolved in to the greatness that we remember as Yars' Revenge. continue

The weekend has ended and it's back to work. My office computer decided to greet me this morning with the dreaded Blue Screen of Death. continue

Why is Mario shaking like that? He's not shivering because it's cold in Mario Land or anything, that's just how he looked on a real NES hooked up to a tube-TV. For anyone who's ever taken a close look at the character on a TV screen, the image above should bring back memories. continue

A Little Goomba as it looked back in 1985, and still today when displayed via the original NES console hooked up to an old tube-TV. It's like a beautiful miniature electronic stained glass work of art. Something that is slowly fading away as newer technology takes center stage and many people so quickly push aside the older, "obsolete" technologies. continue

In the early 80's, there were few electronic toys cooler than the remote controlled wonder known as the Omnibot. More than 20 years ago, the Omnibot reigned supreme robotic tech-toy and was on every nerdy kid's Christmas list. continue

The image is displayed on a 20" TV screen with my vintage Atari 2600 hooked up to it. Take a close look at that image. Look at those beautiful little red, green, and blue rectangles working together to bring the illusion of colorful objects when viewed at a normal distance. continue

Mr. Tissue Box feared for the safety of the Mighty Twistie-Tie Man. The madness of attempting such a stunt without any protection seemed too much to bear for our tissue dispensing cardboard friend. He tried to scream, but Michael Jackson took the sound before he made it. continue

When I moved just a little to the east of where I originally looked up at the sky, the street lamp was positioned exactly between the sun and my view point. It made it appear as if the street lamp was illuminating the sky. continue

Unfortunately, I got kicked out of the restaurant just moments after these photos were taken because I stuck the granny doll's head between the grandpa dolls legs and placed a $20 bill in grandpa-doll's hand. continue

Remember when you were a kid and sometimes on a box of cereal there'd be a picture on the back with a list of things to locate in the image? I can't offer you the joy of some over-sugared breakfast cereal with yummy marshmallows that turn the milk chocolate, but here is a list of not-so-well-hidden items you'll find in the photo... continue

I've been getting a lot of creative ideas while working on my website update & redesign (which I'll soon start to roll-out). One of the things I've been pondering is adding an "about me" or "bio" page. continue
